Meze Taverna Restaurant Fanos is dedicated to authentic Greek cuisine. Situated on the beautiful Aegean Island of Kos, Fanos was established in 2005. We created a friendly and warm homely environment for people to enjoy their dining and soon became a favourite dining hotspot.

So what is the 'meze' way of dining? The closest translation would be a 'snack' or 'treat'. Rather than ordering a starter and a main course for example, Greeks prefer to order a whole lot of 'meze' dishes shared by two or more people, the idea being that rather than dine the classic starter and main course way, you get a whole variety of treats or 'meze' dishes and have a little bit (or a lot) of everything. In fact very few Greeks will actually even ask for a menu but rather trust the restaurateur to recommend some meze dishes which here at Fanos Restaurant are always prepared with the choicest ingredients and cooked to succulent perfection.
